Japan

One place you should definitely visit is Japan. It is the most technologically advanced nation in the world. Along with that, they've also got a pretty large population, about 18 million, in the whole country itself. The Japanese are very polite and follow their traditions and customs very well. It's also great for vacations, if you can afford the plane ticket and sit down for the entire 8 hour plane ride. For tourists, it's definitely a great place to go, especially the sights.

One thing about Japan is that it's a very big place and you could get lost very easily. So you should always make sure you have a map on hand and ask for directions when you need to. Another thing about Japan is that there are a lot of places to eat. Almost every other store there is a place to eat. They even have American food places like Subway, KFC, Wendy's, and even a McDonald's. You may be thinking that you can get those back where you live and there's no difference right? Wrong, the food in Japan actually tastes better than it does in America. Strange, huh? But, all of that is mostly in the city regions like, Tokyo. If you're looking for more authentic Japanese food, the countryside is where you should head to like Niigata or Kyoto. There you can find a lot of ramen shops which taste a whole lot better than American made ramen. Plus, country-style restaraunts give a lot for a reasonable price. If you like game centers and arcades, then there's a place in Niigata called Round One. It's a four story entertainment center that has; games, karaoke, fishing, bowling, baseball, tennis, basketball, and even fishing. All you have to do is pay a certain amount of money and you can stay in there for about a couple of hours, and everything is free to play, and you can play as many times as you like. There's even drinks and food in there as well, but you have to pay for those. Also, you can ride those small mini-bikes called Pocket Rockets around in this oval racing area. Around Japan people are always moving, whether it be by walking, by bike, or by vehicle. So there are a lot of vending machines around with a wide variety of drinks to choose from such as, Fanta, Coca Cola, Coffee, Tea, and a drink called Calpis, which is kind of like a milk drink/soda. There's also some unique vending machines in Japan. You know how usually cigarettes are bought from the store? You can find them in certain vending machines around the place. There's also beer and alcohol from certain vending machines as well.
Japanese people are very polite with everything they do. If you bump into someone they'll immediately say sorry or excuse me. They also do that with the things you buy at the store, like if you're buying a gift, they will always ask if you want it gift-wrapped. They also follow all their traditions and customs even down to the smallest detail. Like their church services and tea ceremonies. They always sit properly in the seiza position and dress up in the necessary attire for the occasion. Another thing about the Japanese is that they are very patient and have smooth driving skills even in the smallest and difficult places. Also the driver seat is on the right side of the car and they drive on the left side of the road. There's a lot of small compact vehicles in Japan, which save space and maybe even gas. But, their driving is really smooth, they can take a sharp turn and it will just feel like you're just making a regular turn and they are driving at a pretty fast speed.
In the end, Japan is one of the greatest places to visit if you you're interested. Make sure to take in the sights and get to know more about the culture. Try to take a lot of pictures too, because there are a lot of photo opportunities everywhere in Japan. A lot of things are cheaper over there as well, so some things you see in America, you'll see in Japan too, but for a cheaper price. One thing that wasn't mentioned earlier was the trains and subways. They are a very convenient way to travel and are inexpensive. When riding one, make sure to hold onto something when it takes off, or you'll fall or lose your balance. That's only if you're standing, if you're in a seat then it's okay. When you're bored with your life, try to plan a trip to Japan, it's a really nice place to go to.
